Research

We started with competitive research to understand how other platforms handle content filtering. This involved analysing the types of filters used and their effectiveness in improving content discovery.

User Flow

We mapped out the user flow to ensure a seamless experience when using the new filtering feature. This included defining entry points for the filters, interactions within the search results, and the overall journey to find and select content.

Wireframes/Sketching

Based on the user flow, we created wireframes and sketches to visualise the filtering feature. These initial designs focused on simplicity and usability, ensuring users could easily apply and remove filters.

UI Design

We developed high-fidelity UI designs, incorporating Sky's brand colors and design guidelines. This step was crucial to ensure a consistent look and feel across all platforms.

Cross-Platform Considerations

Given the cross-platform nature of Sky Store, we tailored the filtering functionality to suit different devices while maintaining a consistent outcome. This meant slight variations in the user interface and interactions, depending on whether users were on mobile, tablet, or desktop.

Prototype and Testing

We created prototypes to test the new filtering feature with users. Feedback from these tests was used to make iterative improvements, ensuring the feature met user needs and expectations.

Launch

The filtering feature was successfully launched on Sky Store across all platforms. Users can now easily apply filters to refine their search results and discover content more efficiently. It can be readily seen at Sky Store
